The restless canyon winds will test and tease your ball as it drops over 100 feet from tee to fairway.

Cost: $145 per person. Golf club rental extra. Shotgun start at 7 a.m. Contact Chuck Weingarten, Golf Coordinator, at 800-551-6982 if you have questions regarding golf or need to rent golf clubs. Medora History
Medora is a sleepy little cow town in the middle of the ND Badlands and now the home of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The Badlands were created over time by the Little Missouri River, a national scenic river. Medora was founded by a flamboyant, French nobleman named Marquis de Mores. He settled here in the 1883, got into the cattle business and built a slaughtering plant, the remnants of which still stand on the west side of town. Theodore 'Teddy' Roosevelt moved to the Badlands in 1883. He established two ranches in the Badlands and many colorful stories of his stay in Medora exist to this day.

Medora is a good place to further investigate the West. The Park is a great place to view many species of wildlife in their natural habit, including the American bison. The Battle of the Little Bighorn is several hours to the west. The scenic Blackhills of SD are several hours to the south.

There are many hiking trails in the Medora area and there are several places to rent horses or bikes. There is a nationally recognized 120 mile Mah Dah Hey Trail for hiking, biking and horses. There is plenty of history about Teddy Roosevelt, de Mores and the early West.
