This year's Sunflower Showcase will feature presentors and information on the forefront of sunflower production in Kansas.
The basic itinerary for the day is similar to years past, with breakfast and introductions in the morning in Ulysses, then travel to the fields for production presentations, travel back to facility for lunch and afternoon speakers.

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
This events focus will be to provide up to date information to producers on sunflower production & management as well as Ag policy and economics. There will be opportunity for questions and discussions after each segment. This event is provided free of charge to all producers thanks to the sponsorship from sunflower industry partners.
Itinerary
7:30 -8:15 a.m. - Registration and introductions– Coffee and Rolls will be served
8:30 a.m. – Buses depart to plot tours – Beverages will be proved on tour
8:45-11:45 a.m. – Plot tours and production / management related speakers at plots
Plot tours will focus on economics and production practices on irrigated/limited irrigation sunflowers.
12:00 p.m. – Buses return to Ulysses – Lunch served
Afternoon speaker panel to start approx. 1:00 p.m.
1:00 p.m. – John Sandbakken – National Sunflower Association - Industry Update
1:45 p.m. – Ron Meyer – Colorado State University - Analysis on Irrigated Sunflower
2:45 p.m. – Seed Companies to present best products for target application and area.
