2018 NSA Summer Seminar

The 36th Annual NSA Summer Seminar takes us to Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, Minnesota.
 
Pre-Registration is now $350 and golf $120. Registration at the door will be $400 and golf will be $150 so register early!
 
This meeting is open to all persons without regard to race, color, natural origin, sex, age, religion or disability. Anyone requesting a special meal or accommodation should notify the NSA within a reasonable time frame. NSA will accommodate reasonable requests.

8:00 a.m.  NSA Golf Tournament - Atikwa – Alexandria, MN

At the newly renovated Atikwa Championship Golf Course, you’ll experience the natural beauty of Alexandria’s most scenic golf course.

Cost: $120 per person.

Shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. 
The tournament is a fun event for golfers of all skill levels. 
We will use a four-person scramble format.
 
NOTE:  You MUST be registered for the NSA Summer Seminar in order to participate in the golf tournament. Please include payment for golf fees with the NSA Registration. Fees will not be accepted at the course.

Hotel Information
The Summer Seminar will be held Arrowwood Resort and Conference center in Alexandria, MN located at 2100 Arrowwood Lane, Alexandria, MN 56308. A block of rooms has been reserved at Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center for June 25-28 under the “National Sunflower Association." To make your reservation click here. Enter your check in date and check out date. The code is already entered for you on this link. This will bring up our block of rooms and what you can select from. Rates start at $139 per room, per night, plus tax. We have a few rooms set aside for USDA and Government Rate. You will need to call the hotel directly for these rooms 866-386-5263. Room block will be released on May 25, 2018.
 
Please note the resort’s cancellation policy:  If you cancel a room reservation 31 days out, there is a charge of $25, if you cancel a room reservation 30 days out, the charge is $100, if you cancel a room reservation within 7 days out, the charge will be equivalent to the charge of one night stay plus taxes. When a reservation is made, the hotel will automatically charge your credit card $100.
 
Getting to Alexandria: 
  • Major airlines fly in to the Minneapolis Airport. Rental cars are available at the Minneapolis Airport for travel to Alexandria. Mileage from Minneapolis to Alexandria is approximately 113 miles.
  • Airlines flying into Fargo, ND are Allegiant, Frontier, Delta/NWA and United Express. Mileage from Fargo to Alexandria is approximately 95 miles. Car rental companies at the  Fargo airport are:  Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise and National.
Alternate Directions from Minneapolis Area:
This is a faster route to the resort, as it avoids the town of Alexandria.
  • I-494 West to I-94 West.
  • Follow I-94 to Exit #100, 2 miles past Alexandria exit.
  • Proceed on County Road 45, straight ahead at exit.
  • Follow 45 approximately 3 miles to 82. Right on 82 approximately .5 miles to 22.
  • Turn left at the stoplights onto county road 22 (between Magellan gas tanks).
  • Stay on 22 for 2.3 miles.
  • Turn right onto county road 104. Arrowwood Lane is .4 of a mile.

From Fargo/Moorhead:
  • Take exit #100 off I-94.
  • Take a left onto HWY 27 follow to the junction of county road 45.
  • Take a left onto county road 45 following it to county road 82.
  • Take a right onto county road 82.
  • Take a left at the stoplights onto county road 22 (between the Magellan tanks).
  • Follow 22 for 2.3 miles.
  • Turn right onto county road 104. Arrowwood Lane is .4 mile.

Golf Tournament Registration
Golf Tournament – Thursday, June 28
Note:  You must be registered for the NSA Summer Seminar in order to participate in the golf tournament.  Golf registration includes 18 holes of golf and single cart fees.  Breakfast, beverage/snacks for cart, lunch and prizes are all sponsored by Northern Bag and Box Co.
 
6:30 – 7:30 a.m. – Breakfast will be served at the Lakeside Café at Arrowwood Resort.
7:30 a.m. - Shot-gun start at Atikwa Golf Course.

THE LUNCHEON IS ALREADY INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION FEE FOR SUMMER SEMINAR PARTICIPANTS.  THIS IS ONLY FOR GUESTS!
Registrants to the Summer Seminar may register their spouse or guest to attend the General Session luncheon for a fee of $40.
